Supernapse feature

AI mind maps built from your own material

Upload a PDF, slides, notebook photos or a YouTube video with captions. Supernapse builds a mind map alongside the summary, flashcards and questions from the same material, and its branches come back in your Daily Study.

From PDF to mind map

Upload the PDF of a lecture, handbook or book. The mind map organizes the subject from what is in the file: a central topic, the main branches and the subtopics of each one.

The map is part of every material's kit, next to the summary, flashcards and questions. You don't have to ask for it separately or write a prompt.

A long PDF, such as a handbook or a book, becomes a Document in the app: the app splits it into chapters, starts with Chapter 1 and, with a subscription or the 7-day free trial, prepares the next ones gradually. Each chapter gets its own kit, mind map included.

How it works

  1. Upload your material

PDF, Word, slides, up to 10 notebook photos, pasted text or a YouTube video with captions, auto-generated ones included.

  2. Get the kit

Summary, flashcards, questions and mind map, all made from the same material.

  3. Explore the map

Show it as a map or as a topic list. Tap a topic to see its details.

  4. Review it in Daily Study

A branch of the map comes back as a review item, “Which of these belongs to…?”, so you remember how topics connect.

Example: a photosynthesis map

An illustrative example from a biology handbook.

Central topic

Photosynthesis.

Branch: Light reactions

They happen in the thylakoids, depend on light and produce ATP and NADPH.

Branch: Calvin cycle

It happens in the stroma and uses ATP and NADPH to fix CO₂.

In Daily Study

“Which of these belongs to ‘Light reactions’?” You pick from options such as thylakoids, stroma and CO₂ fixation.

Connected to the rest of your study

  • Mastery colors

Once the map has mastery data, the “Mastery” option shows on each topic whether it is “New”, “Reviewing” or “Mastered”, based on your answers.

  • Study this topic

Pick a topic on the map and run a session on just that topic.

  • Ask the tutor

Open the tutor from a topic. It answers from your material and names the section it used.

  • Export as PDF

Download the mind map as a PDF to print or keep.

Before you trust the map

The map comes from your material, so it reflects what is in the file. Check its branches against the original, especially in texts with tables or exceptions. A map helps you see how topics relate, but it doesn't replace answering the questions and cards.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to ask for the mind map separately?

No. It is part of every material's kit, together with the summary, flashcards and questions.

Can I make a mind map from a YouTube video?

Yes, if the video has captions, auto-generated ones included. Private videos or videos without captions don't work.

What about a whole handbook in PDF?

In the app, a long PDF becomes a Document: the app splits it into chapters and prepares a kit for each one, mind map included. You can still pick just one section if you prefer.

Can I export the mind map?

Yes, as a PDF.

How does the mind map show up in reviews?

In Daily Study, a branch of the map can come back as an item: you pick which option belongs to a topic. That way you review relationships, not just definitions.
